Family and Youth Activities for JULY AND AUGUST /10 

Now that summer is just around the corner, we can look forward to lots of activities for the summer months. Don't forget to sign up in advance, so that you and your children don't miss out. Please remember to let me know if you have any ideas to share, that sending them to me by email would be preferred. I am not going to remember everything if you mention it to me in passing or when we are at another activity. This way I have your request in writing. Thanks and have a fantastic and safe summer!

Thursday July 1: Canada Day at Lakeview Park. Let's meet for 11:00 am at the park/lake (not the beach area) in Oshawa. Bring your cooler, chairs, etc. and plan to stay for the day if you like. There will be vendors selling food, etc. There will be fire works later in the evening for those that plan to stay later. 

Saturday July 3: Mosport Fan Appreciation Night. Let's plan to meet for 5:30; the race starts at 6 pm. Bring a bag for each of your kids to collect goodies from the drivers during intermission. Children are free, adults $12.00 (approximate). http://www.mosport.com/home/home.asp

Saturday July 10: Canada's Wonderland. The prices are as follows: (Adults - 35.52; Kids - 31.21) PWP will subsidize all members’ tickets, which means the ticket will cost you $20.00 each for members and their children.) You can choose one date only for subsidized tickets. Any other tickets purchased (including tickets for guest) will be at regular price stated above. Saturday July 31: Cedar Park. PWP will provide meat for the BBQ and we ask that everyone brings a dish to share.

I plan to be there early (10:00'ish), lunch will be BBQ'd approximately 12-12:30. The entrance fee for children will be covered by PWP. http://www.cedarparkresort.ca/html/map_directions.html

Saturday August 7: Cobourg Beach. Let's plan to meet for approximately 11:00 to get a spot for the group. Let's plan to bring lunch to share. We can discuss the food details closer to the event; at the same time I will have directions.
